Meet Adelle
|
Hi, I'm Adelle, a massage therapist with a particular interest in lymphatic health, manual lymph drainage, and supportive care for people living with or recovering from cancer.
My approach to massage therapy is thoughtful and individualized. I believe treatment should reflect the person in front of me—not just the symptoms they're experiencing. Your health history, comfort level, goals, and what your body needs on the day of your appointment all help guide our approach. |
My Connection to Lymphatic Health
My interest in lymphatic health is also personal.
I live with lymphedema, and it took five years to receive a diagnosis and understand what was happening in my body. Once I had answers, I began exploring treatment options and learning more about the lymphatic system.
Experiencing manual lymph drainage as part of my own care gave me a new understanding of how gentle, specialized treatment can support the body. That experience ultimately led me to pursue further education in lymphatic care and to develop Ameliorating Touch Massage Therapy.
While my personal experience has shaped my interest in this area, I recognize that every person's experience is different. My goal is to bring both professional training and genuine understanding to the care I provide.

My Approach to Care
Some clients come looking for relief from tension or discomfort. Others are navigating swelling, lymphatic concerns, recovery, or the effects of cancer treatment. And sometimes, you simply need some time to slow down and take care of yourself.
Whatever brings you through the door, my goal is to provide respectful, individualized care in a space where you can feel comfortable and heard.
I take the time to understand what you need, explain what we're doing when helpful, and adapt treatment to your comfort and circumstances. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to massage therapy.

Why "Ameliorating Touch"?
Ameliorate means to make something better or more tolerable, to improve or ease something.
I chose the name Ameliorating Touch because it reflects what I hope to offer through my practice: thoughtful care that helps make things a little better.
