Policy on Appointment Scheduling
Ameliorating Touch Massage Therapy provides services by appointment only. Walk-ins and same-day bookings cannot be accommodated. Please use the online booking system to schedule your session in advance. If your preferred date or time isn’t available, we encourage you to add yourself to the waitlist—appointments sometimes open up, and we’ll notify you as soon as a spot becomes available.
Credit Card Policy
Ameliorating Touch Massage Therapy requires that you put a card on file for contactless payments. This helps keep each other safe and allows us to spend more time with you, rather than taking a payment after your session. This also supports accountability pertaining to our cancellation policy.
Cancellation Policy
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation, late changes, or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapist's day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a $65.00 cancellation fee to the card on file. This fee must be paid prior to re-booking and cannot be processed through group benefits plans. If continued late cancellations, late changes, or missed appointments occur the client may be asked to pre-pay for appointments or may be excused from the clinic.
Notice of Conduct & Right to Refuse Service
At Ameliorating Touch Massage Therapy, we are committed to providing a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for all clients and practitioners. Abusive language, inappropriate behavior, or any actions that compromise respect and safety will not be tolerated.
In addition, we reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service for any reason related to health, safety, or the suitability of treatment. This includes, but is not limited to: illness, contraindications to massage therapy, or other conditions that may make treatment unsafe or ineffective.
This policy ensures that every client and practitioner can enjoy a calm, supportive, and safe environment. Your cooperation in maintaining a positive and respectful space is greatly appreciated.
Payment Policy
Payment is due at the time of service. Accepted forms of payment include debit, credit card, or e-transfer. Direct billing to your insurer is available if applicable.
Please note that we do not accept cash or cheques.
Co-Working Space Notice
By booking and attending your appointment, you acknowledge that Ameliorating Touch Massage Therapy operates within District Studios – Southcentre, a shared co-working environment with approximately 30 independent studios. While we make every effort to maintain a calm and relaxing atmosphere, some noise or movement from others in the space may occur and is beyond our control.
To support a peaceful environment for all practitioners and clients, we kindly ask that voices and movement through the space be kept soft and respectful.
